Assurance engagements in Montreal

Independent assurance engagements on financial statements, performed under Canadian standards by a CPA Auditor. We scope each engagement to what your stakeholders actually require, from a full audit opinion to a compilation report.

  • Audit engagements (reasonable assurance opinion on financial statements)
  • Review engagements (limited assurance, CSRE 2400)
  • Compilation engagements (CSRS 4200)
  • Financial statements under ASPE, ASNPO and IFRS
  • Special reports and agreed-upon procedures
  • Audit-readiness and first-year engagement support

Common questions

General information, not advice for your situation. Rules and deadlines can change; we confirm what applies to you.

Audit, review or compilation: which one do I need?

It depends on who will rely on the statements. An audit gives the highest (reasonable) assurance and is often required by lenders, funders or law. A review gives limited assurance at a lower cost. A compilation presents your figures in financial statements without assurance. We confirm the requirement with your stakeholder before proposing an engagement.

How long does an engagement take?

It depends on the size and condition of the records. Once we receive the information, a compilation can take days, a review a few weeks, and an audit several weeks including planning and fieldwork. We agree on a timeline at the start.

Can you also prepare our tax return?

Yes. Assurance and tax work are coordinated so the year-end is handled once, and the corporate return follows the financial statements.
